Testimonial Tuesday: Audi quattro Turbo UR Rally Setup

At Clutch Specialists, we always enjoy hearing from customers who put our products to proper use, and this Testimonial Tuesday feature is a great example of that.

Len Milner, also known as “quattro Len,” shared the story of his impressive Audi quattro Turbo UR - a true performance classic with serious motorsport history behind it.

This particular car is a 2149cc 10-valve Audi quattro Turbo UR that has been carefully developed for competition use. The setup includes a reconditioned engine, ported and polished head, hot cam, and an adjusted wastegate spring, creating a full rally-inspired build. Power has been increased to approximately 250 bhp, a significant jump from the standard 200 bhp.

To handle the added performance, the clutch setup features a LuK clutch converted to paddle, with both the flywheel and pressure plate inspected and worked on by our team. It is always rewarding to know our clutch work is supporting cars that are driven the way they were meant to be driven.

Len has used the car across a variety of motorsport events, including hill climbs at Shelsley Walsh and Prescott, stages at Lombard Bath and Newport, and circuit driving at Bicester Motion. Today, the car is mostly enjoyed as a road car and at classic car shows, where it continues to attract plenty of attention.
