This month’s Friday Feature is all about summer journeys, long drives, and the reliability that comes with the right setup. We’re excited to shine the spotlight on @reimarino, one of our customers who has taken his Alfa Romeo 156 far beyond the daily commute.

🚗 The Car

Rei Marino’s Alfa Romeo 156 isn’t just a stylish Italian classic – it’s a well-travelled machine that delivers both performance and reliability. With 280hp under the bonnet, it’s equipped with a CG Motorsport Stage 3 single mass clutch and lightened flywheel, making it perfect for long trips across Europe while still offering that fast, responsive driving feel.

🌍 The Journeys

This Alfa isn’t a garage queen. It’s on the road constantly, clocking up kilometers and covering countries.

• Last year’s journey: from Sicily (home) to Piedmont, then to Split, Milan, and Perugia.

• This year’s route: the Italian Alps, Split, Zagreb, and Ancona – before returning home to Sicily.

• Future plans: Istanbul, Belgrade, Croatia, Switzerland… and then Switzerland, Poland, and Croatia the year after.

It’s safe to say this Alfa has become a true continental cruiser, collecting stories and memories along every road.

🎸 Music & Motoring

Rei Marino isn’t just travelling for the sake of it - he’s a guitarist. Music is both passion and work, and the car is his tour bus, taking him from city to city where he performs. Whether winding through alpine roads or cruising motorways to the coast, his Alfa delivers the reliability needed to get him (and his guitar) where they need to be.

Switching from a standard clutch to a Stage 3 CG Motorsport clutch with lightened flywheel is a big step. The driving experience changes dramatically – sharper response, more direct feel, and better power delivery.

“Of course when you switch from a regular clutch to the CG Motorsport single mass with lightened flywheel, you have to get used to it for a few days because the difference is massive. But once you take confidence with it, it’s the best feeling ever! My car flies and stays reliable for the long journeys – I look forward to many more kilometers, more countries, and plenty of fun, fast driving!”
