🔧 The Build

This 2011 MINI R56 JCW is currently pushing 300bhp, thanks to an impressive list of upgrades:

• Hybrid turbo
• Bigger intercooler
• Full silicone piping
• AEM intake
• Devil Developments map

It’s a setup designed for fast road driving, with Silverstone already used as a test bed to fine-tune the modifications and make adjustments for future track use.

⚙️ The Clutch Setup

Handling this level of performance requires something special. This MINI runs our CG Motorsport 6-Paddle Clutch Plate paired with a Lightweight Flywheel.

The clutch has been in service for 2½ years, taking everything thrown at it — from aggressive launches to track sessions — without fault.

“The clutch took some getting used to on the road as it’s like an on/off switch and is pretty aggressive, but it’s been amazing. It withstands hard driving conditions extremely well — I’ve put it through its paces and it’s never let me down. You can tell the workmanship that goes into these clutches is second to none and definitely meant for motorsport.”

🏁 Proven Performance

This isn’t the first CG Motorsport clutch the owner has trusted. Before upgrading to the paddle drive, he ran another of our clutch kits for around two years — again with no issues, even under hard driving conditions.

Most of the work has been carried out by the owner himself, with additional help from F2K and Sussex Road & Race.
